USA President, Joe Biden made a visit to the border town of Del Rio, Texas yesterday. There, he met with troops from the US military and Border Patrol agents. In a speech to those gathered at the Armed Forces Reserve Center's gymnasium, Biden said "those people" who charge Border Patrol agents on horseback will "pay" for their actions. Biden also toured a nearby Border Patrol station and watched as law enforcement officers apprehended migrants near a section of the border where undocumented immigrants have been crossing for years. originally occurred at the White House, but is to be held in a National Guard Armory. It is his third stop in four days to discuss immigration and border security. Jokes are flying about a man "riding" a horse across the border to lure people over. The few people who have crossed in the opposite direction seem unconcerned with the "riders," as they're very uninterested in going further south. More from KRGV-TV in the Rio Grande Valley: "It doesn't concern me at all," said Kelly Contreras, who had never heard of a mounted Border Patrol agent before. "I think it's kind of silly. I think they're only trying to make a headline. "I think they've taken advantage of the fact that there's been these groups that have been coming in from Mexico.

What is happening at the border?

Biden has pledged to visit the border throughout the rest of the year to get a firsthand view of what is happening there and to address what is being said about the situation. Â President Obama has traveled to El Paso, Texas twice this year, touting his efforts to curb illegal immigration and assuring that the border would not be militarized and that the issue would not be used to divide Americans.

What does a Border Patrol agent do?

US Border Patrol agents are well armed, but cannot shoot their guns without following specific rules set by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. The ATF is an independent federal agency that runs from the Department of Justice, not the Department of Homeland Security. The ATF is primarily responsible for enforcing gun laws and regulations at the country's borders, including airports, seaports and land borders. While Border Patrol agents carry a Glock 17 pistol, .40 caliber, and a .45 caliber duty weapon, they are required to keep their sidearms locked away while on duty. That means agents cannot open their duty belt and make use of their pistols while patrolling. Border Patrol agents also carry a baton and stun gun.

The Role of a US Military Member

President, Joe Biden is touring several areas on the US-Mexico border. To date, Biden has visited a Marine base and an Army Reserve Center to talk with border patrol and US military personnel, and also went to McAllen, Texas to speak with local politicians and members of the local immigrant community. While speaking with border patrol agents and soldiers, Biden spoke about the vast increase in the number of migrants trying to enter the US illegally from Mexico. The vice president said that more than 90,000 migrants have been apprehended crossing the border in the first three months of the fiscal year, a 30 percent increase over the same period last year. According to Biden, more soldiers will be stationed along the border to help deal with the increase in the number of migrants.

The Role of a US Border Patrol Agent

Open Letter to last President Trump After Sunday's Game Illegal migration along the United States' southern border has surged in recent years, both due to various factors, including the ongoing migration crisis in neighboring South American countries and the improving economic conditions in the US.
